Advocay Unit

This effort has been functioning for about six years and consists of 2 person volunteer teams, Mondays through Thursdays from 10:00 - 1:00PM. Located in the upstairs Church office, it is known as the "Upper Room." These trained and experienced volunteers help clients navigate through financial and personal needs. It provides direct assistance with partial payments of utility bills, registration for Our Lady's Pantry, and then referral assistance to area agencies that can assist with rent, extremely high utility bills, shelter (through the North Strand Housing Shelter), clothing and sundries, (North Strand Helping Hands) and sliding scale counseling programs.
