Marriage

Before a wedding date can be reserved, either the bride or groom (or both) must be a registered, active member (e.g. attend Mass each Sunday and on Holy Days of Obligation) for at least 6 months.  However, newly registered couples must wait at least one year before a wedding date can be reserved.  Additionally, one or both must regularly contribute to the support of the Parish, which can be verified by the use of offertory envelopes.

Please call the wedding coordinator six to twelve months in advance of the proposed wedding date.  It is the policy of the Parish that a date for a wedding cannot be set without prior consultation. Out of town couples who desire to marry at Our Lady Star of the Sea are eligible to be married at the Church providing certain conditions and guidelines have been met.
